Life is like a box of chocolates ... and we got an elephant!

Schools: Kork Kleang 1

Torrential tropical rains and potholes the size of cars could not keep us from our first excursion to the schools today. How exciting! We went to Kork Kleang 1 and got the chance to see the English classes in action! We even got to do a bit of teaching ourselves - grammar and pronunciation ... no surprise we're more than a bit rusty on the grammar front! Anyway, they were adorable kids with enormous smiles and we get to go back next week and teach some more and take them back some goodies - text books for each child, pens, pencils, erasers, exercise books and colouring in pencils - we can't wait!

H20 dilemma

CVCD meeting this morning went well. We are bursting with energy (right after our afternoon nap) and ideas. In between listening to the beautiful Dara, Sama & Sylong we couldn't keep our eyes off the icey cold water sitting in front if us. Dying with thirst from knattering for an hour our minds turned over waiting for the other person to make the first move. "is it tap or bottle?" "If I take just one sip will I still be faced with toilet trauma?"...we never found out.

The Killing Fields, devastating

Real housewives of Phnom Penh

And yes we have managed to find an organic cafe in the middle of one of the most poverty stricken cities in the world and yes we will be going there everyday for our soy lates, wheat grass shot and lentil salad. Oh and I'm totally not joking we just did!
soy you later!
